What We Believe
The One True GodWe believe in the one true and living God, the Creator of the heavens and the earth.Genesis 1:1 KJV “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.”
The Triune GodWe believe that God eternally exists in three Persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. These three are one.1 John 5:7 KJV “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost, and these three are one.”
Jesus Christ, the Son of GodWe believe that the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us in the person of Jesus Christ. He is the only begotten Son of God, fully God and fully man.John 1:14 KJV “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” The Holy SpiritWe believe in the person and work of the Holy Spirit, who dwells within every believer to guide, comfort, convict, and empower us to live a holy life.1 Corinthians 6:19 KJV “What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?”
Salvation Through the CrossWe believe that Jesus Christ took the sins of the world upon Himself at Calvary. His death, burial, and resurrection secured eternal life for all who believe.2 Corinthians 5:21 KJV “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin, that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”John 3:16 KJV “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Eternal Life in HeavenWe believe that through faith in Jesus Christ, we receive the gift of eternal life and the assurance of Heaven.1 John 2:25 KJV “And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.”
The Authority of ScriptureWe believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God, given for doctrine, correction, and instruction in righteousness.2 Timothy 3:16 KJV “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.”
The Resurrection and the Second ComingWe believe in the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ and look forward to His promised return to judge the living and the dead.1 Corinthians 15:20 KJV “But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.”Hebrews 9:28 KJV “So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many, and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.”
The ChurchWe believe in the Church, the body of Christ, made up of all born-again believers. We are called to fellowship, worship, serve, and carry the gospel to all nations.1 Corinthians 12:27 KJV “Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.”Matthew 28:19 KJV “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.”
